Here is an email from one of our own Vietnam Heroes, Jim Towns, about an American Hero from today’s wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The above picture is of my nephew, Charlie Lemon. Exactly one month and one day ago today, on June 8th he was hit by an IED in Iraq. He lost both legs. Charlie was with the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armor Cavalry Regiment. This photo of him was taken outside the Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. With him are his Brother on his right, his Mom in the center and his Sister on his left. My understanding, they were out for a stroll yesterday.
Thanks goes out to all the Military Medical teams and Doctors that took care of him, my HERO, from the battlefield to the day this picture was taken.
Charlie, you’re looking good....
